Regis College presents Bill Ryan sj, special advisor to the Jesuit Forum for Social Faith and Justice. Bill will talk about China and the world today, our future and the limits of nature, with particular reference to Jonathan Watts' book, When a billion Chinese jump: will it knock the world off its axis?

Peter Noteboom, Deputy General Secretary, Canadian Council of Churches, will respond. Peter worked in China and led the China-Europe Institute Management Centre at the Catholic University in Leuven, Belgium, in the 1980s. He recently refreshed his connections with China while serving as an election observer of the Taiwan presidential elections in 2012. He is keenly interested in the global challenge of climate change and the rising tide of unequal development.

This event will take place in Classroom C at Regis College, 100 Wellesley Street West, Toronto.

All are welcome - the event is free of charge - but kindly pre-register at www.regiscollege.ca/ryan, or call 416-922-5474 x 221.
