A talk by Bill Ryan sj

Bill will explore the present explosion of robots replacing workers in such varied fields as self-driving cars and care for the elderly, in a time of increasing unemployment.  He will raise the basic question whether such new socio-economic problems can really be solved in our narrow growth-for-profit model.

Bill is Special Advisor to the Jesuit Forum for Social Faith and Justice. He is the author of numerous publications, particularly on Catholic social teaching, globalization and interfaith dialogue.  Bill most recently co-authored the Jesuit Forum publication, Living with limits, living well!  Hints for neighbours on an endangered planet.
