Indigenous Language Map

The Pacific Northwest has the greatest linguistic diversity in Canada. There are currently 203 First Nations communities and 34 Indigenous languages in BC, representing approximately 60% of the First Nations languages of Canada.

The interactive map from the First People's Cultural Council (link to full-sized map) provides an evolving depiction of Indigenous languages, artists, and cultural heritage in BC from a First Nations perspective.
